outfit repeating

No longer the #1 fear of fashion girls everywhere, being seen wearing the same classic wardrobe staples over and over again helps establish personal style. And it saves a lot of time, money, and anguish over buying a whole new wardrobe every time the seasonal trends change.

Trends like minimalism, the new slacker movement, normcore, and just generally being thrifty have helped break the stigma around wearing the same outfit twice – or twenty times. Just don’t forget to wash it occasionally ;)

If the future queen of England & worldwide sweetheart Kate Middleton is both the most copied woman in the world and a serial outfit repeater, you know that it's no longer "social suicide" to be caught wearing the same cardigan 3 days in a row last week. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.  #sorrynotsorryilovemygrandmasweater

My no brainer outfit formula:

-comfy but cute shirt
-long, flowy cardigan

-leggings (the new denim)
-ankle boots
-minimalistic jewelry

Outfit details: American Eagle cardigan | Target black tee (similar one here) | Free People “Cranberry” lace racerback | PINK leggings | Dogeared pearl necklace | & some random drugstore sunglasses… but here are some similar ones

Shoez: Chinese Laundry heeled booties (similar boots here) | old H&M suede booties (similar here and a similar splurge pair here)

Here’s to all my fellow outfit repeaters out there… What are your favorite go-to outfits?

sarah
